Preparation for work experience

Developed over 10 years with Enfield Education Business Partnership

Includes a 60 min workshop and a 20 – 30 minute assembly or plenary session focusing on motivation for work experience, making the most of the opportunity and how to avoid the pitfalls.

Using a game show format the workshops cover:

  • interview techniques
  • health and safety
  • using initiative
  • discrimination
  • harassment
  • safeguarding
  • conduct and presentation

Dreamcatcher

Challenging primary age pupils to think about their futures

An innovative project with Year 6 pupils, Dreamcatcher uses drama and role play to explore gender and cultural issues in relation to aspiration and success.

This enables pupils to:

  • address stereotyping of work roles by ethnicity and gender
  • think about their dreams related to the world of work and the
  • obstacles they might encounter
  • understand the concept of setting and achieving goals
