Referral Programme – out of school activities

Estate-based Youth Theatre

Immediate Theatre offers evening youth theatre and holiday projects in
disadvantaged neighbourhood settings in Hackney.

Participants develop confidence and team-working skills.

We provide pastoral support linking with other local organisations and services.

Teachers can refer young people to these projects.

Where appropriate Immediate Theatre provides feed-back to school about the young person’s
progression.

Costs to school are based on the level of participant support required to access the provision and liaison with the school.

The activities themselves are FREE.

Face Front Performing Arts Clubs

Face Front runs after school Performing Arts Clubs in special, secondary and primary schools.

We also run a Home Club at our venue in Edmonton Green and a Youth Theatre at the Millfield Theatre.

Participants in a Performing Arts Club will gain enhanced self-esteem, improved social skills and a raise in confidence levels.

There is the opportunity to make new friends, learn new skills and to communicate ideas and needs more effectively.

This raises general wellbeing and achievement in and outside
school.

Contact Face Front to discuss a bespoke club at lunchtimes, after school or at the week end.

We are also happy to receive referrals to our Youth Theatre and Home Club and welcome disabled and non-disabled pupils.

Artistic Vision

We have developed a multi-accessible style of performance which is distinct and exciting.

Founder Members

History

Face Front was begun by artists who were all committed to working inclusively within their particular art form.
