Storytelling through drama

Active and imaginative storytelling using props, drama and participatory storytelling techniques

Each session can be tailored to support literacy outcomes in your classroom. We can dramatise a story of your choice with your class or create a live story from scratch with your group using story building.

Alternatively we can explore the Anansi story for Black History Month or work to a theme to support in class learning e.g the Romans.

Play in a Day

The skill and the thrill of creating a play in a day and performing it to an audience of peers

The pupils can choose from the following options: Art and Design, Acting, Poetry/Rap, Song/Music, Dance, Marketing/Front of House, Lighting/Sound (where available).

Each group works with a professional artist for 3 – 4 hours on a common theme producing a total theatre experience which is performed before peers at the end of the day.

Glee Clubs

Learning new skills and self expression using the ever popular ‘Glee’ format

‘Glee’ is available within school time or as an after school or lunchtime club. The clubs offer the opportunity to express issues of concern to young people through dance, drama and music, choosing favourite songs or creating their own.

Young people learn performing arts and self expression whilst developing their confidence and social skills.

If enough schools are interested we can organise regional and final competitions to find the ‘Glee Champions’ of the area.

Participants can choose to complete Bronze Arts Awards.

In the late 90s a group of artists started to experiment with different ways of working in Theatre.

Face Front was begun by artists who were all committed to working inclusively within their particular art form.
