Bullying

Beyond the School Gates

Addressing bullying outside school

This workshop is being developed by our team of Peer Educators. It uses a short drama to explore how young people are affected by bullying in the community, looking at what can happen on the journey to and from school and in leisure time.

The workshop involves participants in rehearsing and performing the script, exploring the intentions and emotions of the characters and exploring a range of potential outcomes.

Beyond the School Gates builds resilience by exploring:

  • the consequences of bullying
  • who can help if you are being bullied
  • what you can do to stop it

Beat Them / Join Them?

A performance and workshop confronting bullying and pre-gang peer pressures

A boy stumbles onto the stage, he has been stabbed. His older sister and her best friend look on horrified, they have both been drinking!

Guided by a facilitator and using forum theatre techniques, the audience explore the choices and decisions that led to this moment for each of the characters and the complex web of bullying and peer pressure faced by young people.

This performance workshop will inspire your young people to take control of their lives and make positive choices.
