Annie Smol

Annie SmolInclusive theatre has been my passion from the late 80’s when I began this work at Chats Palace in Hackney having become aware of the exclusion of disabled people from the arts and society and inspired by the disabled artists and participants I was lucky enough to work with.

Annie Smol

Hi I’m Shirley E Mason also known as ‘Sister Shirley’ and ‘Cuban Redd’ (performance name). I have performed three times at Edinburgh Fringe with the Performance Poetry club Big Word, have written and performed in two one woman shows ‘Who feelz it knows it’ and ‘Utopia’ and am currently engaged as the Artist-in-Residence at Millfield Arts Centre as well as currently being the Participation Manger for Face Front dealing specifically with the Youth.

Artistic Vision

We have developed a multi-accessible style of performance which is distinct and exciting.

Founder Members

In the late 90s a group of artists started to experiment with different ways of working in Theatre.

Our board members bring a range of experiences and points of view to what we do.

Face Front was begun by artists who were all committed to working inclusively within their particular art form.
