Act The Part

We run regular performing arts groups for disabled people to participate in theatre. Projects help to improve confidence, reduce isolation and gain arts and social skills 

A performing arts group for young people to begin to experience Drama, Dance and Music.

Young people attend for between 18 – 24 months and then they are encouraged to move on to integrated or mainstream arts activities.

Young disabled people from 11 – 18

The group learns music and theatre skills, write and perform their own shows, led by experienced professional artist/facilitators.

As well as performing, the group can go on theatre trips and join in other social events.

We also co-run The Blue Sky Actors with our partner Stratford Circus. This is a group for adults with learning disabilities or difficulties. 

In future, we plan to set up Age on Stage – a group for older people.
